A freak hunting accident near the town of Hyattsville, Montana. last Saturday, took the life of Clyde E. Billmeyer, 17, who left Guttenberg only a few months ago to take a job on a sheep ranch in the northwest. The body was returned to Guttenberg Tuesday and funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Tuecke funeral chapel.
The services will be in charge of Rev. E.J. Starr, pastor of the Guttenberg Methodist church, and burial will be in Colesburg with the following as pallbearers; Elmer Bolsinger, Glen Bolsinger, Lawrence Bolsinger, Clarence Bolsinger, Walter Bond and Leland Hansel.
According to reports received here by family, Clyde Billmeyer was out on his own on the ranch and had used his gun to kill a pheasant. Apparently as he was returning the gun to the case after killing the bird, the gun went off accidently and shot Billmeyer in the chest. There were no witness's, but the coroner reported that death came within a matter of minutes.
