Elizabeth Bolsinger was the fourth child and third daughter of Frank and Alta "Cole" Bolsinger. Lizzie, as she was known, was also born in her parnet's log cabin east of Colesburg, Iowa, on October 30, 1913. Lizzie received her education at the Colesburg Consolidated School. On December 28, 1928, she was united in marriage to Frank Billmeyer, son of Joseph and Annie Billmeyer. Frank and Lizzie started thier marriage life out on a farm near Waxford Church in Allamakee County close to Harpers Ferry. They moved back to Colesburg in their second year of marriage to a farm owned by Webbie Platt. Here they were blessed with two children, Harold and Letha. Moving in 1932 to Turkey River where Frank workd as a laborer. In 1933 leaving Turkey Rive they moved to what was known as Craig Hollow, north of Pine Hollow Preserves. Three more children came to join them, Evelena, Clyde, an Wilma Jean. Leaving Criag Hollow in 1937, they set up housekeeping in Guttenberg where Frank began working for Pierce Lumber Co. Six more chldren came to join them, George, Edna, Alvin, Richard, Shirley and Larry, completing their family of eleven children. On February 2, 1949, Frank passed away after having a heart attack, at the age of 58. He is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery east of Colesburg, Iowa. On August 25, 1949, Lizzie was united in marrage to Clarence August Horstman, son of Henry and Annie "Meyer" Horstman. To this marriage one child, Clarence Lee Allen, was born. Lizzie and Clarence lived in Guttenberg for two years before they purchased a farm in the Graham community from Wes Welsh. They remained on the farm until Lizzie passed away on January 14, 1966 of cancer at the age of 52. Lizzie is buried in the city cemetery at Guttenberg, Iowa. Clarence remarried on November 11, 1972, to Hazel "Cole" "Welch": Holthaus. Clarence and Hazel remained living on the farm for awhile, later moved to Greeley, Iowa, where Clarence passed away on August 28, 1996 at the age of 85. Clarence is buried in the Guttenberg City Cemetery.
