Lulu was born in her parent's log cabin where they lived in Delaware County, east of Colesburg, she received her education in the early grades at a rural school and later attended the Colesburg Consolidated School. After Lou received her she worked out as a hired girl for different people. July 2, 1923 she married Lincoln Leonard O'Dell, known to us as "Pat" During their first year of marriage they lived with Pat's parents in Greeley, then moved to Allamakee County where lived for two years. In 1926 they moved back to Delaware country where they engaged in farming. Pat passed away from a heart attack in 1952; then Lou married Ralph Robbins.
