She was born August 13, 1932 in Utuado, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1952. Carmen retired in 1995 from Avon Oaks Caring Community in Avon. She worked there for 25 years. She was among the first State Tested Nurses Assistants.
Carmen was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel of Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls and cooking. She loved to help raise her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her sons Manuel Antonio (Haydee) Ramos of Utuado, Joseph Manuel (Juana) Ramos of Brooklyn, Ohio and Rolando (Judy) Maldonado of Lorain; daughters Minerva (William Marquez) Maldonado and Mildalia (Mark) Woods of Lorain; brother Felix Gonzalez of Orlando, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Luz Zenaida Ramos; her parents and siblings.
