Everett Glenn Doty, thoughtful, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, peacefully died March 14, 1995 after a valiant three-month fight to live. A remarkable person who provided nurturing care and companionship to his family and friends throughout his life.
Born April 1, 1916 in Tooele, Utah, son of William and Emma Jane Terry Doty. His family later moved to Salt Lake City where he graduated from West High School. Married Beth Morris Smith June 10, 1938 in Salt Lake City. He worked for Kennecott for 33 years and was shift foreman when he retired in 1979.
This wonderful man's spirit will remain with each of us throughout our lives. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at LDS Hospital for the special care given to all of our family.
Survived by his devoted wife, Beth, Magna; son, William (Bill), Berkeley, California; daughter, Gloria, Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Stuart W. and Margaret E., both of California; brothers, Robert (Bob), Roosevelt; Otis, St. George; sisters, Bertha Richins, Salt Lake City; Wilma (Lynn) Thompson, St. George; preceded in death by his daughter, Myrza Beth Doty; parents; brother, Veryl .
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call 12-12:45 p.m. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
