Andrew "Pep" Williams, 96, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be noon Friday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by one son, Kent Williams and wife, Dona; two daughters, Brenda Hymel and husband, Carrel, and Elizabeth Griffin and husband, Lon; one sister, Mary Cheramie; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Martin Williams; his parents, Eddie and Olanda Dufrene Williams; one son, Russell Williams; five brothers, Edward, Irby, Lawrence, Harold and Woodrow Williams; and three sisters, Esther Terrebonne, Mabel Gisclair and Anna Mae Bilyeu.
He was Catholic and known as the "Honey Bee Man."
