Census records show he was born in 1876 to George W. and Jerusha Elizabeth Davis Grimes. Arthur first married Mattie Richards 18 Dec 1900. Second marriage was to Nora E. Turner in 1904. She is buried beside him at Union Grove. Their children include: Tracy, Clovis/Claves, Lillie, Johnny, Luther, Roger/Rogie and Albert Grimes.
