Octavia was born to Joseph Thompson Cheney and Louise Marie Austin Cheney. The records have slightly different data: birth year either 1861 or 1862; birth place is either Centerville, Davis, Utah, USA or Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. She married Adam Wilcox on 9 June 1910 in Salt Lake City when he was 63 and she was 47 years old. Unfortunately their health turned and Adam's sister Phebe cared for him in her home until his death. Octavia then went to live with her sibling in Salt Lake City until her death.
