Services for J.B. McCallie, 89, of Tyler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cheatham, Bro. Tom Crawford and Chaplain Dale Purdy officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. McCallie passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012, in Tyler. He was born May 5, 1923, in Copan, Okla., to the late Barney and Jessie McCallie. He had been a longtime resident of Tyler, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was a farmer, rancher and owned and operated a used car business in Tyler. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Ford McCallie, and a sister, Kathleen Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite McCallie of Tyler; several nieces, nephews and friends and his caregivers, Loretta Perkins, Betty Resendez and Sylvie Guzman.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or to Westwood Baptist Church.
