Bessie Compton Keltner, 80, of 103 Hord Street, Campbellsville, died Saturday, June 4, [1983] at the Taylor County Hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late William and Etta Sexton Compton. Mrs. Keltner was the widow of the late Garnett Keltner. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Keltner and Richard Keltner, both of Louisville; one daughter, Maxine Smith of Campbellsville; one brother, Edgar Compton of Gradyville, Ky.; two sisters, Delcie Keltner and Gracie Stinson, both of Columbia; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Keltner was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church. Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 7, [1983] at 1 p.m. at the Grissom-Maupin-Heskamp & Morrison Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Davenport officiating. Burial was in the Moore Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmy and Eddie Compton, Jackie Stinson, Earl Dudley, Hollis and Billy Keltner.
