A retired rancher the deceased came to the Cassa community in 1919 where he lived until April of this year when he moved with his family to Torrington. He was born June 22, 1886 in Elma, IA.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Mary Katherine, of Torrington; two sons, Howard w. of Torrington and Ardith L. of Powell; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ecker of Riverton, Doris Elwood of Seattle, Wash., and Katherine Elwood at home; one brother, Claude K. Elwood of Glendo; two sisters, Mrs. Mag e. Strong of Torrington and Mrs. Mae e Foster of raid City, S.D. and six grandchildren
Services for Mr. Elwood were held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. from the Schrader chapel, with the Rev. Vern Kruse officiating. Burial was in the Wheatland cemetery. Pallbearers were Ivan Hooley, Dana Spaulding, Bert wright, Homer Trimble, Buck Haggerty and Clarence Bennett.
