Oldest son of Philip Sr. and Sabina, born February 4, 1788, Manor Twp, Lancaster Co. Moved with family to Montgomery Twp., Franklin Co., PA in 1808. George owned a Blacksmith Shop in Welch Run PA for many years. He met and married Nancy Whitmore from Middleton, MD. They had six children who were born and raised in Welsh Run. Their children were Nancy married to Joseph Spriggs. Susan married to John Neal, Martin Luther married Lydia Payne, Mary married William Payne, Philip Roman married Mary Gould, and Elizabeth, who is married to Jacob Zentmyer, a wagon maker in Welsh Run. George died in his prime; the year 1839, the same year as his father, Philip Sr. He was only fifty one. Nancy, his wife, died in March of 1860. Both are s/s in the Stech Cemetery.
