BOWEN, BRADFORD PHILIP
Brad Bowen was born on June 4, 1983 in Evanston and lived on the North Shore most of his life. Brad attended grammar school in Evanston and Winnetka, served on Peer Jury and graduated from Loyola Academy in 2001.
He went on to earn an Associates Degree from Oakton Community College where he was active in student government, but Brad's true passion was computers.
Most recently Brad was employed as an IT Help Desk Administrator at Tootsie Roll Industries where he earned the respect of his peers and co-workers.
Brad was born with Spina Bifida, used a wheelchair for most of his life and faced numerous medical issues, but his spirit was never broken.
In recent years he found happiness with an independent life in Evanston where he enjoyed a close circle of friends and a wonderful girlfriend, Nura Aly, who he dearly loved.
People who met Brad were taken by his engaging smile, warm personality, patient wisdom and unbounded determination.
Brad went to be with the Lord he loved on June 14, 2012 and will be greatly missed by his parents, Barry and Joy Bowen, his awesome sisters Jenny and Jesse, many close friends and relatives and by countless others who were touched and inspired by his courage.
