"Mr. Anderson Reid and family of Big Flats, Adams County, and Mr. James Reid, of Trempealeau, arrived on Saturday last and were present at the funeral of their mother.
The funeral of Old Lady Reid took place Sunday forenoon, Rev. Brickles conducted the services at the house after which the remains were taken to Oxford and placed by the side of her husband. Mrs. Reid was born in Scotland, August 11, 1813, thus making her age some over 78 years"
