She was born October 1, 1922, in Mattoon, Illinois, to the late Benjamin Edward and Flora Mae Downy Meneou.
Survivors include her children, Glenn Edwards and his wife, Cindy, Becky Cox and her husband, Mike, Lavon Atherton and her husband, Ronald, and Teresa Ballew; sister, Mona Hansford; 13 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Meneou; sister, Cecil Welz; and her former husbands, George Pixley and Chester Ballew.
