Cecil M. Welz, 89, of New Albany, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at her home.
She was a native of Sidell, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Horton; a son, Frank Leffler; sisters, Erma Ballew and Norma Hansford; four grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Welz.
Her wishes were to be cremated. She will be buried with her husband at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
Kraft Funeral Services, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, is in charge of arrangements.
