Mrs. James Nelson, 70, nee Josephine Kozina, of 702 South 14th street, died early today at the Holy Family hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer funeral home, the Rev. C. H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was born in 1877 in Stangelville, and spent most of her life in Manitowoc. In 1896 she was married to James Nelson.

Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Peter Sterk of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. George Adler of Manitowoc; three sons, George of Phoenix, Ariz., Harvey of Iron Mountain, Mich., and William of Manitowoc; sister, Mrs. Anthony Musick of Wausau; brother Wenzel of Green Bay; six grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
