ARTHUR R. MARTIN, Ada manufacturer, died at Osteopathic Hospital Tuesday after [a] long illness. He was 76.

He had lived near Grand Rapids all of his life. He was owner of the MARTIN BASKET MANUFACTURING COMPANY in Ada until retirement 10 years ago.

Mr. Martin was a member of Ada Masonic Lodge No. 280, DeWitt Clinton Consistory, Eastern Star Lodge No. 202 and was an active member of the Ada Baptist Church.

He leaves three daughters, MRS. EARL C. WRIDE of 1246 Forest Hill Rd., SE., MRS. ROLLIN DAVIS of Albion and MRS. RUSSELL H. McCONNELL of Charlotte; a brother, GLENN, of Ada, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Metcalf Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Herbert H. McConnell officiating.

MARTIN - ARTHUR R. MARTIN, aged 76, of Cascade Rd., R3, and more recently having resided at the home of his daughter, MRS. EARL C. WRIDE, 1246 Forrest Hill Rd., R3, passed away Tuesday morning at the Osteopathic Hospital.

Also surviving are two other daughters, MRS. ROLLIN DAVIS of Albion and MRS. RUSSELL H. McCONNELL of Charlotte and one brother, GLENN MARTIN of Ada; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was taken to the Metcalf Mortuary where services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday, Rev. Herbert L. McConnell officiating. Interment in Martin Cemetery.
