Mabel A. Grubb, 95, of Bloomington, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Bloomington Hospital. She was born November 14, 1910, in Brown County, the daughter of Charles and Rhoda (Parsley) Foreman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Paynetown Pentecostal Church for many years. Mabel will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to all who knew her.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Helena and Junior Elkins of Bloomington; one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Waneta Grubb of Bloomington; twelve grandchildren, Rick Grubb, Marsha Grubb, Randy Grubb, Marilyn K. Lane, Eddie Grubb, Wanda Axsom, Linda Pedro, Gary Axsom, Larry Axsom, Dennis Elkins, Cynthia Elkins and Bradley Elkins, twenty great- grandchildren, three great- great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Campbell and Leoma Campbell, both of Bloomington, and Iva Pickel of Peoria, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Grubb, in 1987; one son, Charles Edward Grubb; one daughter, Glodene Axsom; two grandsons, Ronnie Grubb and Kevin Grubb; three sisters, Gladus Foreman, Jane Foreman and Beulah Foreman; and two brothers, Walter Foreman and Elva Foreman.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home with Revs. Pete Flynn and Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may call today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
