Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker, a former employee of Arkansas Highway Department, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Mitchell Grilleta and her husband, Steve of Jonesboro, Sterlene Shelton of Vidor, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Sterling Fitzgerald, and James M. Mitchell; daughter, Gail Hibbeler Fitzgerald; and two brothers, J.M. Futrell and Jeptha Futrell, Jr.
Funeral services were at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Paragould. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery. Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
