On December 5, 1987, Clifford Ausburn Bishop of Fort McMurray passed away at the age of 60 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Ellen two daughters, Carol and Colleen of Fort McMurray; one stepdaughter. Hazel Clayburn of Kitchener, Ontario; three step sons, Don and Tracy Gallagher of Fort McMurray, Lorne of Whitecourt; six grandchildren; four sisters, Dean Sampson and Iris Lank of Vernon, B.C., Melba Warawa and Thelma Arndt of Westlock; three brothers, Glenn of Westlock, Alson of Hay Lakes and Lester of Hughenden and a sister-in-law, Isabel of Vernon. He was predeceased by two brothers, Byron and Donald and his mother and father. A memorial service was held on Monday, December 7, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fort McMurray United Church with Reverend Bob Harper officiating. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the westlock Funeral Chapel with Reverend James Reeb officiating. Interment to follow in the Dungannon Cemetery.
