Billy is survived by his wife, Isa Elaine Glass Bailey, whom he married on May 23, 1951; daughter, Carrie Turner and husband John of Cockeysville, Md.; son, Allen Bailey and wife Susan of Fairmont; five brothers, Harry Bailey of Niles, Ohio; Thomas Bailey and wife Bettie of Tallmansville; Robert Bailey and wife Rita of Akron, Ohio; Earl Bailey and wife Joan of Fairmont and Keith Bailey and wife June of Texas.
Mr. Bailey was a member and treasurer of the Upshur Sportsman and Conservation Club at Queens, board member of the Washington District Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church, a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army and was a machinist for 33 years with Westinghouse in Fairmont.
The family will receive friends today,Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon, where services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 with Rev Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Bailey Cemetery.
The VFW Post 3663, American Legion Post 7 and the DAV Chapters 5 and 36 will provide military funeral honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Bailey Cemetery, C/O Steve Perkins, Rt. 2 Box 358-B, Buckhannon, WV 26201 or to your charity of choice.
