Norma Elizabeth Tenney, 84, of Norton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005. She was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Tallmansville, the daughter of the late Hazel Maude and Jacob Arthur Bailey. Norma retired from Barberton schools after many years of service as a cook. She was a longtime member of the Akron Baptist Temple and worked in the church nursery. In her free time, Norma enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, her husband Kiser Tenney preceded her in death. Three brothers: Arthur, Ward and Ralph Bailey also preceded her in death. Her daughter, Sharon and husband Ray Redhead, survive her. Three sons: Vernon and wife Karen Tenney, Roger Tenney and Theresa Miller, and Keith and wife June Bailey, also survive her. Six brothers: Robert and wife Rita, Tom and wife Bettie, Earl and wife Joanne, Bill and wife Elaine, Carl and Harry and wife Katie Bailey also survive her. A sister, Lorraine DeBarr, also survives her. Nine grandchildren: Kevin and Jason Redhead, Elizabeth and husband Robert Hutzell, Elaine and husband Nathan Miller, David and wife Julie Tenney, Christopher Tenney, Laura Tenney, Louise Costello, and Karl and Elissa Bailey survive her as well. Eight great-grandchildren: Jenna, Drew, Dean and Trey Hutzell, Fiona Miller, Scott and wife Krista Willingham, Jennifer Hoffine, and Ryan Costello survive her. Two great great-grandchildren: Morgan and Reagan Willingham also survive her. A special lifelong friend Rose Henke survives her. Family and friends may call today, Friday, March 11, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio, with the Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park
