Bernard D. Beckstrom, loving husband and a person adored by his children and grandchildren, age 70, passed away April 10, 1996 in Bennion, Utah.

Born April 2, 1926 in Panguitch, Utah, son of Dilworth L. and Iola LeFevre Beckstrom. Married Leah Sorensen, March 6, 1953 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, he was a High Priest, served in the bishopric and temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. Mission to Eastern Canada. He retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron after 32 years of service. Veteran of World War II. He loved to hunt and fish, was an avid genealogist.Survived by wife, Leah; three sons, one daughter, Rodney Bernard (Jan) Beckstrom, West Jordan; Blake D. (Gae) Beckstrom, Bennion; Julie Ann (Mark) Allred, St. George; Jeffery Alan Beckstrom, Bennion; eight grandchildren; brother, Gordon Beckstrom; sister, Fern Beckstrom Shakespeare, both San Diego, Calif. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, Leland, Melvin and Clayton; one sister, Pauline Davis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Bennion Heights 4th Ward, 3045 Bernina Drive (5820 South). Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood and Friday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
