Myrtle (Lady Bug) Watson, age 98, left this world on July 12, 2012 to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven. She was born on February 20, 1914 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee to Samuel S. and Arminta Crass. She was a delight to everyone who knew her.

She grew up in Oliver Springs. She was the second of four children. Being older than her two younger siblings, she helped raise them while her parents ran a grocery store. She also was a member of her high school basketball team.

She met the love of her life, Ralph Watson, and they were married on January 18, 1934. They were married over 50 years. They had two children, Jack and Judy. In 1949, they bought a grocery store in Powell, Tennessee where they worked side-by-side for the next 20 years. Upon retiring from the grocery business, they moved to North Palm Beach, Florida and enjoyed the year round warmer weather. In 1984 her husband passed away, and a year later she moved to San Antonio, TX to be with her daughter and family and later to Highland Haven, TX. In May of 2011 she moved to Gateway Gardens in Marble Falls, TX.

"Lady Bug" is survived by her son, Jack and his wife Patricia, from Knoxville and her daughter, Judy Tiller and husband Ray, from Highland Haven, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Terri Haecker and husband David of Austin, TX; Mike Tiller and wife Ada of Austin, TX; Bradley Watson and wife Janalin of Oak Ridge, and Amanda Duncan of Beaverton, OR. She had 8 great-grandchildren—Kevin Haecker (and wife Joanna), Ryan Haecker, Meghan Haecker, Christopher Tiller, Katie Tiller, Elana Watson, Joel Watson and Bethany Watson.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Powell, where she was a member for over 50 years. Her Celebration of Life will be held at the church immediately following. Interment will be at Woodhaven Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemore Road in the Claxton Community(Powell, TN) at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 17. God now has a special "Lady Bug" angel in heaven.
