John S. Mefford's parents: Elias Thomas Mefford and Zerelda Baker died in 1909 and 1907 and are buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Scott Co., KY. As their son John was poor as a church mouse you would suspect he would be taken home to be buried but there is no stone in that cemetery for him (although there is plenty of room for unmarked graves.

Priscilla's death certificate says she is widowed and the 1910 census shows her widowed and living with her daughter Jewell Purvis and her son-in-law John Purvis
