Quince Thomas Mefford, 64, farmer, of the Frankfort Pike, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the John Graves Ford Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Susan Katherine Shelton Mefford, three daughters, Mrs. Willis Curtis, Mrs. Dewey Sharp and Miss Donna Mefford, Scott County; four sons, Jack Douglas Mefford, U.S. Air Force, Guam; the Rev. Quince T. Mefford, Jr., Lexington; Kenneth and Carl Mefford, Scott County; a brother, Russell Mefford, Georgetown and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Corinth Church of Christ by the Rev. Frank Veatch and the Rev. George Randolph. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Stamping Ground. Pallbearers were John Hampton, Harry Lee McDowell, Asa Graves, William Graves, George Chowning, J.B. Lear, Edward Sharp and Oscar McDowell.
