They immigrated back to the US, to El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, in 1941, and finally to Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona.

David died on 9 April 1978, in Apache Junction, Pinal County, Arizona, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States.
