The funeral service is Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Gene Grasham and Bro. Bobby Withers officiatiing.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Dora Barnes Burris of Adair County, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lynn Staples, on February 11, 1984.
She is survived by the following:
Four grandchildren including two special grandchildren: Tiffany Morrow, Columbia, KY, and Brandi Robertson, Columbia
One special great granddaughter, Brooklyne Robertson.
One sister, Dorothy Polston, Campbellsville, KY.
Mrs. Staples was preceded in death by her five children: Four sons, Morris Staples, Billy Staples, Richie Staples, and Charles Staples, and by one daughter, Virginia Hutchison.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie Staples and Floy Vanarsdale, and by one brother, Arvin Burris.
Mrs. Staples was a former hairdresser in Illinois and was of the Methodist faith.
Interment will be in the Union Cemetery at Gradyville, KY.
The family requests visitation after 3:30 p.m., on Monday, January 6, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home in Columbia, KY.
