Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Pratt and graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island. The Rev. Rhonda Glenn will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Larrison Mortuary in Pratt. Larrison Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nixon was born July 7, 1925, at Dewey, Okla., to William J. and Sarah Ellen (Jones) O'Brien.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll C. "Nick" Nixon.
Survivors of the immediate family include four brothers, William R. O'Brien of Pratt, Ed O'Brien of Houston, Ralph O'Brien of Smyrna, Tenn. and Jim O'Brien of Oxnard, Calif.; and five sisters, Myrna Shanley of Pratt, Pat Hammonds of Pratt, Margaret Roe of Pratt, Judy Conradson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kathy Rohr of Arlington Heights, Ill.
Also surviving are a special son, Mike Spivey, of Oklahoma City, Okla.
She married Carroll C. "Nick" Nixon on Aug. 5, 1944. Mr. Nixon died in 1982.
Mrs. Nixon was a homemaker. She had lived in Pratt for the past 12 years after moving there from Liberal, Kan. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Pratt.
Etta touched so many people who mourn her loss, and who will love and cherish her memories forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry; and two sisters, Pauline Helgeson and Mary Spivey.
Memorials are suggested to South Wind Hospice or the First Christian Church in Pratt.
