Barbara Brandt Schwarz passed away September 21, 2007, in Tulsa from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born in Oklahoma City on March 23, 1937, to Richard and Mildred Forrester, Barbara attended Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School where she met and married LeRoy Leo Brandt on October 31, 1955. Together they had four children and made their home in Yukon, where they ran a successful family business, Brandt's Hardware. Never on time and always dressed "to the nines," Barbara had an unbelievable zest for life with an infectious laugh that filled every room she entered. Her family was her greatest joy. A devout Catholic, with a special devotion to Mary, the Mother of God, she faithfully attended St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Following the sudden death of LeRoy in 1981, Barbara met and married, a wonderful and caring man, Charles Schwarz. She became a mother to Charles' son Andy. They were happily married for 25 years.

She is survived by her husband Charles; daughters, Sherry Yeich, Margie Meibergen, and Julie Mayfield; sons, Richard Brandt and Andy Schwarz; grandchildren, Joey, Melissa and Madeline Meibergen, James, Nathan, Stuart and Will Mayfield and Antonia and Annalee Brandt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. John Nepomuk Catholic School Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 850249, Yukon, OK 73085.

She will be so missed.
