Arlene R. Wray, 76, of Gladwin, died Thursday, May 30, 1996 at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Midland. Born May 18, 1920 in Gladwin, she was a lifetime resident of Gladwin. The former Arlene Cripps married Clayton Wray in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1960.
Surviving are 5 children, Floyd and wife Karen of Lansing, Kent of Prescott, Leon and wife Joann of Pinconning, Carol and husband Larry Hale of Gladwin, and Gary of Midland; 3 brothers, William Cripps of Gladwin, Garland Cripps of Gladwin, and Donald Cripps of Hillsdale; 2 sisters, Neva Vaughn of Flint, and Ila Farrow of Gladwin; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Shewas preceded in death by one son, Clare Wray.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Highland Cemetery in Gladwin and the Rev. Robert Marshall officiated. Arrangements were handled by the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 6-5/1996 Column – 1 Page – 7.
