Thomas married Sarah Frances 'Fanny' Hinson abt 1800 in North Carolina. They are found in Perry County, TN by 1811, at which time their son, Jordan, was born. Their two elder children were both born in North Carolina.

Census records from 1830 and 1840 confirm their residence in Perry County.

Thomas died in 1857 and is buried in Perry County. Confirmation of the location is pending.
