María Frances Campos, age 87, passed away on August 31, 2003 at an Albuquerque hospital following an illness.
Frances was born on July 8, 1916 in Pintada, NM to the home of José Alcario and Faustina García Martínez.
Frances was reared and attended schools in Pintada.
Frances married Joaquin Campos in 1938.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joaquin, her sisters, Rose Nelson and Sabinita González and her brother, Faustin Martínez.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Campos and his wife, Dolores of Albuquerque, Joe Campos and his partner, Lorraine Aguilar of Grants, Gilbert Campos and his wife, Loretta of Santa Rosa and Arthur Campos of Santa Rosa, her sister, Amelia Wallace of Albuquerque, her brothers, José Alcario Martínez of Santa Rosa, Nap Martínez of Santa Rosa, José León Martínez of Pintada and Rudy Martínez of Pintada. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial Rosary will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. also at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Burial of cremain will follow at San José Cemetery.
