Alvin George Boyd, age 79, died March 17, 1989 in Mesa.
Born January 17, 1910, Salt Lake City, Utah, to James Butler and Louisa Fitt Boyd. Married Norma Heusser, 1934, in Salt Lake City. Mr. Boyd was a 25-year employee with the Union Pacific Railroad. He moved from Salt Lake in 1949. Was a 16-year employee of Los Angeles County. Member of the LDS Church and has served in a Los Angeles Stake Missionary Presidency, also as a ward clerk and Mesa Temple worker.
Survived by his wife, of Mesa, Arizona, a son James Alvin Boyd, Cameron Park, California; daughter, Sally Parkinson, Long Beach, California; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Glendon Boyd, of California.
Graveside services in Salt Lake City, Wednesday, March 22nd, 3 pm, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
