She leaves behind her daughters, Marilyn Singleton and Nancy West; her six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy retired in 1980, after 30 years of employment with Gordon Schopfer Architects. She was the past president of the United Methodist Women. For the past 85 years Dorothy had been a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and was very active in church activities including the choir. She was also a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church's Harmony Circle. Her husband, Maurice G. predeceased her in 1967.
Calling hours will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services will be Saturday 10:30 a.m. in Gethsemane United Church, 1700 Butternut St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Gethsemane United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
