Beta Vanek Dejml, was born in Unhest, Czechoslovakia and died August 8, 1939 in Lincoln at the age of 49. She came to the United States and directly to Wilber, in 1912, and was married that year to Frank M. Dejml. She had lived in Wilber ever since and was a member of Z.C.B.J. Libuse No. 70 and the Sokol, holding offices in both for many years. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Vera, and two sons, Milan and Miles, all of Wilber, a brother, Frank Vanek, in Czechoslovakia. Funeral services were held August 10, at the Sokol Auditorium in Wilber, with Rev. K. O. Zavadil and both lodges in charge. Mrs. J. J. Klasek, Mrs. Albert Slapnicka and Mrs. Fred Bor sand. Burial was in Bohemian National Cemetery.
