Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Glasford Baptist Church conducted by Rev: John Schlenker.
Two hymns were sung by a quartet composed of Misses Ilene Bateman, Etta Tift, Opal Davis and Mrs. Marybelle Elson.
Interment was in Lancaster cemetery. The pall bearers, all nephews of the deceased, were John Jr., John A., Frank, Henry, Theo. and Arnie Clauson.
John Clausen Sr., a son of Adam Clauson, was born Nov. 7, 1860, in Limestone township, and passed away June 20, 1941, at the good age of 80 years, 7 months and. 13 days.
On Feb. 9, 1878, he was united in marriage to Yetta Behrends. For over 63 years they have borne together each others joys and sorrows.
To this union were born one son and two daughters. They are Edward. J. CIauson of Industry, Mrs. Millie Doubet of Hanna City, and Mrs. Edna Burge of Peoria.
There are also seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and three brothers, George and Edward of Glasford, and Henry of Peoria.
Mr. Clauson had retired from the farm in 1938.
