Samuel P. Coulter, 70, a resident of the community for more than 50 years and owner of the Coulter Boiler Co., on S. Walnut St., died early Tuesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Coulter, a native of Jay County, had resided on RR 2, Muncie. He was a member of Delaware Lodge F and AM, and Knights Templar.
He is survived by the widow, Adela; two sons, John H. Coulter of Muncie, and Robert C. Kelsey of Piqua, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Maranda of Muncie; a brother, William Coulter of Parker; five sisters, Mrs. Effie Craig, Mrs. Jessie Toms, Mrs. Nettie May and Mrs. Celia Payne, all of Muncie, and Mrs. Stella Collins, Winnebago, Ill.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Kathleen Frischle, Martinsville.
The body is at Parson Mortuary where funeral arrangements are being completed.
