Jeff Davis Smith

Cooper - Jeff Davis Smith, 89, Sulphur Springs, a retired farmer, died at the home of illness, Sunday at about 3:20 p.m.

Last rites were set for Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church at Emblem where burial was to be made by McDonald Funeral Home at Cooper. Grandsons were named bearers.

Born in Tennessee¹, May 4, 1871, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Euel and Mary² (Wickham) Smith. His wife died several years ago.

He leaves these children: Mrs. H.W. Cheey, Borger; Mrs. Walter Ragan and Mrs. R.D. Collins, Sulphur Springs; Thomas Smith, Fort Worth, and A.G. Smith, Ridgeway, Rt. 1, 29 other descendants, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Marable, Sulphur Springs.
