William Hornshu Funeral Saturday

William Henry Hornshu, 78, died at 1:20 p.m. at the Holmes Memorial hospital after an illness of several weeks.

Services are scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Seydler Funeral home with the Rev. Oscar Thompson, pastor of the Memorial Heights Baptist church, in charge. Burial will be in the Gonzales Memorial park.

Mr. Hornshu was born in Warenton on October 2, 1882, to Jacob and Katherine Oitman Hornshu, natives respectively of Alscee-Lorraine, and Oldenburg, Germany.

A member of the Methodist church, he was married to Miss Asra Afflerbach on September 23, 1908, and the couple had made their home in the Monthalia community until moving to Gonzales some years ago where he served as night watchman for the city.

Survivors include one son, Marvin Hornshu Gonzales; three daughters, Miss Alma Hornshu of Gonzales; Mrs. W. C. (Maizie) Patterson of George West; and Mrs. Edward (Lillian) Harris of Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Also surviving him are one brother, Ed Hornshu of Shiner; and sister, Mrs. John Bolm of Shiner, Mrs. Robert Kiaus of Edinburg and Miss Emily Hornshu of Hallettsville.
