Funeral services were held today, Monday, at 2 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Leona Anna Steiger, who died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, December 30.
The Rev.Warren Hornung, pastor of First United Methodist church, officiated at the rites with burial in Gonzales Memorial Park.
Mrs. Steiger was born March 18, 1903 in Lavaca county, the daughter of Emlil and Anna M. First h Voekel, natives of Germany. She was married February 5, 1919, to Christian Herman Steiger, who died July 15: 1957. Her home was at 111 South Bright Street, and she was a member of the First United Methodist church and the Shiner Hermann Sins Lodge.
