Albert graduated from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa with a BA degree and received his MD at the University of New York City. He became a prominent physician and banker in his home town of Cambridge. He also wrote humorous articles for Norwegian papers. He was president of the Bank of Cambridge at the time of his death.
