Jeff Brantley Keen, 16, born 2 Feb 1982, Pelion, SC, died Friday afternoon, 18 Sep 1998, at his residence from injuries sustained in a a welding accident.

A native of Lexington County, SC, he was a member of the sophomore class of Pelion High School. He was a wrestling and racecar enthusiast.

Survivors include his parents, Ephraim Brantley Keen and Frances Kay Flowers Keen of Pelion, SC; his sister, April Keen of Pelion, SC, maternal grandmother, Onie Flowers of Hortense; his paternal grandparents, Colonel and Evelyn Keen of Nahunta; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, from the Hortense Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Tim Sloan and the Rev. Gary Adkins officiating.

Music: Amy sang "Ride Out the Storm," and "Amazing Grace." Janet Flowers sang, "One Day at a Time."

Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery near Hickox.

A memorial service was held at Victory Fellowship Church of God in Lexington, SC on Sept. 27 at 3 p.m.

Casketbearers were Richard Harris, Paul Smith, Randall Lee, Matt Flowers, Rocky Flowers, Travis Flowers and Jason Flowers.

Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements
