Frances Flowers Keen, 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Hospice of the Golden Isles surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.

A native of Brantley County, Frances was born on January 30, 1959 to the late Lee Ross and Onie Sloan Flowers. She was a graduate of Brantley County High School in 1977 and had also lived in Pelion, South Carolina. Frances retired as an Instructional Assistant after working in the School System for many years. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed NASCAR, computer games and bowling. However, her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she cherished every moment they spent together.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Ephraim Keen and her son, Jeff Keen preceded her in death as well as numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, April and Dannie Brazzell of Pelion, SC; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbert and LaWanda Flowers of Hortense, Howard Flowers of Thalman, GA, Lloyd and Sheryn Flowers, Ross and Janet Flowers and Wendell and Diane Flowers; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Patricia and Gene Oglesby and Lillian Roberson all of Hortense; three grandchildren, Sara, Justin and Ashlynn Brazzell all of Pelion, SC; a godson and daughter-in-law, Doug and Alicia Bixby and their children, William and Dustin who are stationed in Germany while serving in the U.S. Army. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Hortense Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Hortense Church of God of Prophecy with Reverends Ricky Knox and Sammy Spradley officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Hickox, Georgia.

Active pallbearers will be Brent and Brad Oglesby, Ethan, Britton and Charlie Flowers and Derek Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Staff Members of Hospice of the Golden Isles and Charlton Visiting Nurses.
