Elizabeth M. Kloss, a resident of Royalton, MN, died May 10, 2004, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial was held May 13 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton with Father Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Elizabeth was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Independence, WI, to the late Frank and Vernonia Smieja. She grew up in the Royalton area. Elizabeth married Edmund (Ed) Kloss on Oct. 28, 1924, in Royalton. The couple made their home on a farm east of Royalton. After retiring from farming, the couple moved into a home in Royalton. Elizabeth was a member of Christian Mothers and Holy Trinity Parish.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Lawrence Kloss and wife Rita of Royalton, and Alvin Kloss and wife Elaine of Rice, MN; daughter, Mary Jane Haeg and husband Mark of Coon Rapids, MN; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; her parents; daughter Pelchie Nordeen and husband Russell; and one great-grandson.

Casketbearers were Bruce and Mike Kloss, Kevin Haeg, Keith Nordeen, and Mike and Joe Ryan.
