WILLIAM A. GUTHRIE, formerly of Tyler, Texas, expired Dec. 6, 2000 in a local hospital. He was an entrepreneur for 39 years in the Houston area. He owned and operated Burton's Plush Poodle and Pets To Love. Mr. Guthrie was an ordained minister at Lakewood Church for over 21 years, where he supervised the Prayer Partner Ministry and all baptisms. Survivors: wife for 41 years, Barbara Guthrie; daughter, Brenda Duhon; sons Rickey Guthrie and wife, JoElla & Robbie Guthrie and wife, Reba; 4 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, McCoy & Harrison Funeral Home, 7:30-9:30 P.M. Funeral Services: Tuesday, Dec 12, 2000, 11:00 A.M., Lakewood Church, 7317 East Houston Road, Pastor Joel Osteen, officiating. Interment: Houston Memorial Gardens.
