DIED: In Silver City, I. T., February 17th, 1874, of brain fever, Emma Frances Allison, in the 15th year of her age.
The funeral took place from the school house on Thursday afternoon, and was one of the largest assemblages ever seen in Silver City. The day was very stormy, and, on tha account, the burial service was read in the school house, by Mr. Gilbert Butler, the teacher. The room was draped in mourning, and an appropriate hymn was sung by the children. Emma Frances Allison was a good scholar, and greatly beloved by her school-mates and teacher. In common with the whole community, we sincerely sympathize with the sorrow-stricken family in this, their sad bereavment.
