Friendsville Column, Mt. Carmel Register, 20 May 1897:
Died, May 9, 1897, Mrs. Henry K. Moyer, at her home here. Miss Lucinda Filkey was born in Ohio, July 12, 1833. She came to this state with her parents when she was five years old; was married to H. K. Moyer July 4, 1850. Three sons and two daughters are left to mourn their loss. Mr. M. had been so invalid for a number of years and her home life was one of christian resignation. She was laid to rest in the Gards Point graveyard.
