JEFFERSON - Elmer E. Higbie, 81, of 839 N. Watertown Avenue, died this morning in Jefferson County Hospital after a brief illness.
Born 29 August 1887, at Slabtown, he was married here 24 May 1911, to Barbara Jahn. She died 18 November 1955.
Surviving are three daughters, Mmes. J. Harold Purerner, Ervin Witte and Walter Smith, all of Jefferson; six grandchildren; five great granchildren; sisters and brothers.
Services are pending at Minshall Funeral Home.
